Yemen’s Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq al-Sharjabi, had discussions with the French Ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun, on ways to strengthen French-Yemeni collaboration in promoting water and environmental projects in Yemen.Discussions included the interventions and projects accomplished and in progress by French organizations and funds in accordance with the needs and requirements of the Ministry of Water and Environment to provide WASH services to the public.Minister Eng. Tawfiq al-Sharjabi expressed his aspiration to expand cooperation between Yemen and France to support the Ministry of Water and Environment and implement many plans and projects to rehabilitate sewage treatment plants, water pipelines, and networks and supply wells with solar energy.French Ambassador Catherine Corm-Kammoun stressed the French government’s keenness to further bolster cooperation and support for the Ministry of Water and Environment. She also expressed her satisfaction with the level of coordination and joint cooperation with the Ministry.
