  • KSrelief Implements Three Volunteer Medical Projects in Yemen

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has implemented several volunteer medical projects in Yemen’s Aden Governorate.

The medical projects include plastic surgery for post-burn deformities, alongside specialized medical clinics and volunteer training to rehabilitate workers in sports injury specialties.

The initiative was held from April 27 to May 5, 2024.

43 volunteers from various specialties are involved in the projects in collaboration with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY).

During the campaign, the medical volunteer team affiliated with KSrelief performed 226 successful operations in the fields of burns, deformities, and plastic surgery.

The dermatology clinic served 1,026 patients, the family medicine clinic 2,317, and the dental clinic 587. Additionally, 78 trainees in the sports medical field were qualified. This comes within the framework of integrated health projects Saudi Arabia offers through KSrelief to Yemen in an effort to develop and enhance the health sector.
