Under the protection and livelihood support project “Safe Space for Women and Girls,” funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate carried out a wide range of activities to address issues related to women’s rights in Yemen.

In Al-Matar area, the safe space arranged community awareness about the significance of time management as one of the factors for success and excellence, in addition to holding three psychological support sessions about the importance of mental health, psychological satisfaction, and ways to overcome psychological pressures. Mental health needs have reached a high level after years of devastating conflict in the country, making these sessions particularly important.

The safe space in the Al Jufaina area provided psychological support on mental health and its relationship to achievement. Furthermore, three awareness sessions were also conducted, the first on self-destructive matters and how to deal with them to reach a safe and stable life, and the second on the importance of personal hygiene as a culture and lifestyle that protects us from many diseases. The third session, which was attended by 14 women, focused on the harms of early marriage. Similarly, in the second quarter of this year, 14 beneficiaries of the vocational rehabilitation program received life, financial, and marketing skills training from the safe spaces in the Al-Rawda area and the Al-Mil camps. The program aims to qualify beneficiaries with basic life, marketing, and financial skills and prepare them to engage in the labor market, launch their own businesses, and earn a living.
