In collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) recently conducted a distribution of economic empowerment kits to women in Al-Mahra Governorate. This initiative was carried out as a part of the Protection and Livelihoods Support Project. Over a period of 25 days, a comprehensive training course was organized, focusing on equipping women and girls with essential skills in smartphone maintenance.
Fayez Ali Suhail Balhaf, the Director of the Office of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in Al-Mahra Governorate, emphasized the significance of offering vocational training programs tailored to the needs of women in Yemen. By targeting the most in-demand sectors of the labor market, such programs aim to enhance their standard of living, facilitate economic recovery, and create sustainable job opportunities for them.
