  • 2,265 Families in Ma’rib to Receive Support from BCHR in Preserving Their Shelters

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

The “Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief (BCHR)” implemented an integrated pre-intervention project in Ma’rib Governorate, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF). In order to address natural disasters, community alert committees were established in camps and selected areas. Specifically, 184 individuals from 23 camps in the Al-Wadi district were trained and appointed as emergency committees in the most vulnerable areas.
Furthermore, various aid was provided to displaced families. This included distribution of food preserving tools, 3,100 emergency shelter bags, and cash funds for shelter maintenance to 2,265 families. To protect homes from rainwater, 1,145 families received sandbags. The project also carried out environmental sanitation interventions in the targeted camps, in collaboration with the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in the governorate.
