The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has partnered with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to initiate a project aimed at rehabilitating water networks throughout Shabwa Governorate, with a specific focus on the Ataq water site.
The project aims to help 40,000 people obtain clean water by installing an integrated system that includes solar panels and pumps water to the local water network and distributes it to the city of Ataq, which is 18 km away from Al-Shabika wells.
Ammar Al-Ahmadi, the Coordination Officer of IOM in Ataq, highlighted the challenging situation the area is currently facing due to the lack of water. He expressed appreciation for the efforts made to address the water shortage and reduce fuel costs in the city.
