Khabar Khair (Only Good News)
Funded by “Direct Aid Society”, and in cooperation with the “Shukran Charity Organization”, the Supreme Council for the Department of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Hodeidah Governorate launched the third phase of the emergency response project. The project aims to help the displaced families, the poorest and people with special needs in the districts of the city square.
This project is part of the relief and humanitarian support to alleviate the suffering of poor and displaced families. 2,400 food baskets were distributed to the targeted cases in Al-Mina, Al-Hawak and Al-Hali districts.
At the inauguration, the director of the Council’s branch in Hodeidah, Jaber Al-Razihi, confirmed that the humanitarian situation in the governorate requires emergency interventions and the implementation of humanitarian projects that meet the needs of the displaced and affected people.
Bilal Al-Mamari, food security official at Direct Aid Society, appreciated the efforts of the local authority in Hodeidah and the branch of the Supreme Council in facilitating the implementation of humanitarian projects in the governorate.
Direct Aid Society’s headquarter is in the State of Kuwait. It began its work in 1981 as a voluntary, non-governmental organization. It is concerned with development in the neediest places in Africa. It has been registered as a relief body at the United Nations, operating in more than 40 African countries.
