  • Ministry of Youth and Sports Celebrates National Day for Rights of Disabled

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

The Ministry of Youth and Sports, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the National Network for Advocating the Rights of People with Disabilities, celebrated the International Day for the Rights of People with Disabilities in the Sheikh Othman gym yesterday in Aden. The celebration began with a match for the conclusion of the sports championship in chair tennis, which was launched two days ago.

The ministry seeks to integrate people with disabilities into society by supporting their tennis, which is held for the first time in Aden. Fourteen players (two females and twelve males) participated in the game. This is the first step for the formation of a national wheelchair tennis team to represent Yemen in local, international and Arab tournaments.
