Kuwait Society for Relief has launched a project to provide drinking water to the affected areas and camps in Sana’a.
Kuwait society said on its website, “The project is a part of Kuwait is by your side campaign, through which (1,000) of 5,000-litre tanks of drinking water were distributed, and the project will benefit (1359) families for the affected areas and camps in the governorate.
The Kuwait by Your Side project aims to distribute around 3,229 of 5,000-litre water tanks in Sana’a, Marib and Lahj as an urgent response to those affected by the humanitarian tragedy, and the growing number of displaced people in the country.
Kuwait Society for Relief also inaugurated the Sheba University Buildings Water Project in Marib, which includes the implementation of a public network from the water collection tank to the underground distribution tanks and then to the tanks that are used in the various buildings of the university. The project benefits least 5,000 people of university students and professors and administrative staff.
A new irrigation system has been implemented progressively from the collection tank to the benefit areas.
