Hodeidah, Yemen – The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Yemen, with funding from the European Union, has completed the installation of a new 4-km water network in the Al-Hawak area of Hodeidah Governorate. This initiative aims to improve access to clean water for more than 2,200 local residents.

This development is particularly significant for women and girls in the community, who previously had to undertake long journeys to fetch water. The new water network not only enhances the quality of life by reducing the time and effort spent on water collection but also contributes to better hygiene and health conditions in the area.
