Aden, Yemen – As part of the efforts to preserve cultural heritage, UNESCO, backed by the European Union and in collaboration with the Social Fund for Development in Yemen (SFD), has initiated the rehabilitation of the iconic Arwa Cinema in Aden.

Representatives from various European nations including Germany, France, the Netherlands, Greece, and Romania, alongside the Governor of Aden, gathered to support Yemen’s rich cultural heritage. Funded by the EU, this initiative is part of a broader UNESCO project aimed at safeguarding cultural landmarks in Yemen amidst ongoing conflicts.
