Source: UNFPA

Since the beginning of January 2024, over one million women and girls of reproductive age in Yemen have benefited from essential reproductive healthcare services, as reported by UNFPA Yemen on X.

The services, which include safe delivery procedures, emergency obstetric care, and newborn care, have been made possible through the collaborative support of international partners like ECHO Middle East, the Japan Mission to the UN, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (UNCERF).

This initiative marks a significant step towards improving maternal and child health amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
