Marib, Yemen – The Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) inaugurated the School Bag Project in Marib Governorate on Saturday, as part of its ongoing efforts to support education in Yemen. The project aims to provide educational support to the most needy families in six Yemeni governorates.

The project was funded by the Turkish Diyanet Foundation and includes the distribution of complete school bags with school supplies and uniforms to 1,500 students in Marib, as part of the second phase of the initiative.

This project comes in the context of enhancing the stability of the educational process, especially in areas suffering from displacement and deteriorating living conditions due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Local officials expressed their appreciation for this initiative, praising the role such projects play in helping affected families continue their education. On his part, the director of the Coalition of Relief and Building emphasized the importance of such projects in bringing smiles to students’ faces and boosting their confidence to continue their education.

The School Bag Project is not limited to Marib alone but extends to include other governorates like Aden, Hadramout, Taiz, Hodeidah, and Al Mahrah, aiming to distribute 5,000 comprehensive school bags of various types, targeting displaced families, host communities, and the most vulnerable groups.
