The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed a new batch of emergency shelter assistance on Wednesday to internally displaced families affected by rains and thunderstorms in Marib Governorate. The aid was provided through Al-Khair Coalition for Humanitarian Relief.
The assistance included 600 shelter tents and 800 shelter bags, benefiting 4,800 individuals.
During the distribution, Dr. Lutf Al-Ghubari, Relief Coordinator at the KSrelief office in Marib, and Ali Al-Marqab, representative of the Executive Unit for the Management of IDP Camps, indicated that this batch of aid is part of KSrelief’s response to the humanitarian appeal issued by the local authority and the Executive Unit for humanitarian partners to intervene and alleviate the suffering of families affected by the rains and storms that hit the governorate.
According to the Executive Unit for the Management of IDP Camps, more than 14,000 displaced families have been totally or partially affected by the rains, floods, and storms that have hit the governorate in recent weeks.
