On Wednesday, the Insaf Foundation for Rights and Development concluded in Aden a training course on cyber extortion crimes and gender-based violence issues, supported by the French Embassy in Yemen as part of the Safe Spaces project.
The course aimed to equip participants, who included judges, members of the public prosecution, and employees from the Ministry of Justice, with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively handle cases of cyber extortion and gender-based violence, thereby contributing to the protection of victims and the enforcement of law against the perpetrators of these crimes.
The course sessions covered the concept of cyber extortion, its types, and its negative impacts on individuals and society. Additionally, there was a discussion on the role of the judiciary and security agencies in addressing these crimes, and how to develop effective strategies to combat them.
