Aden, Yemen – A key workshop dedicated to reviewing the draft National Healthcare Quality Strategy 2025-2030 has concluded. The workshop was organized by the General Directorate of Quality and Infection Control, in collaboration with the World Health Organization and with financial support from the World Bank.

The four-day workshop aimed to train 50 participants from various health sectors, including academics and quality managers, on the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and improve the draft strategy.

The workshop addressed vital topics related to quality preparation and governance stages, patient safety, clinical effectiveness, as well as training of healthcare workers, managing quality information systems, and engaging stakeholders.

Once adopted, this strategy is expected to be a focal point for the efforts of quality departments in various health facilities, and a foundation for enhancing the level and quality of health services provided to citizens.
