HUMAN ACCESS in Hadhramaut Governorate inaugurated the Meifaa Al-Sufal Water Network in the Brom Meifaa district after its rehabilitation within the project to support the integrated response to improve basic services for the most vulnerable communities, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).
The opening process took place in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hadhramaut, Saleh Al-Umoqi, the Director-General of the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation in the Hadhramaut Coast, Eng. Omar Al-Jifri, the Director-General of the Broom Meifaa district, Dr. Khaled Al-Juhi, and the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in the Mukalla and Marib hubs, Eng. Niazi Salman.
At the opening ceremony, the Hadhramaut Local Council Secretary-General commended the work done by HUMAN ACCESS and YHF to implement this vital and important project and the effective contribution they have made to meeting the increasing water needs of communities in need and to providing clean water to the most vulnerable people.
Meifaa Al-Sufal Water Network serves about 19,875 people, and this network rehabilitation was approved by the Water Corporation based on a field needs study.
The residents of the area expressed their great happiness with the rehabilitation of the network, expressing their great thanks to HUMAN ACCESS and YHF for this humanitarian intervention that relieves them of the arduous task of collecting water.
