In response to devastating floods impacting multiple governorates across Yemen, UNICEF has mobilized a rapid response to provide essential aid to affected communities. The organization is distributing vital supplies, including water tanks to ensure access to safe drinking water, hygiene kits to prevent the spread of disease, and chlorine tabs for water purification.

Beyond immediate relief, UNICEF is actively supporting efforts to mitigate further damage and restore essential sanitation infrastructure. This includes assisting with desludging campaigns, providing suction trucks, rehabilitating damaged latrines, and constructing new ones where necessary. Assessment teams are also on the ground evaluating the extent of damage to existing water projects and drainage systems to facilitate swift repairs.

UNICEF remains committed to working alongside partners and local authorities to assess evolving needs and deliver crucial support to flood-affected communities in Yemen.
