Aden University honored, on Sunday, Dr. Khulood Al-Makhzoumi, a faculty member at the College of Education, for obtaining a patent in organic chemistry from the General Administration for the Protection of Intellectual Property at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The invention is based on the idea of synthesizing and characterizing some new heterocyclic compounds containing two nitrogen atoms in their ring structure and studying their biological activity.

During the honoring ceremony, the President of Aden University, Dr. Al-Khadr Nasser Lasour, considered this achievement an honor for both Aden University and the College of Education. He stressed that innovation is an important element required for building a knowledge-based, diversified, and resilient economy led by skilled competencies and strengthened by the best expertise, in a way that ensures prosperity for this country.
