Save the Children, with funding from the European Union for Humanitarian Aid, conducted a training program on Monday in Aden focused on mentoring and supervising child protection case management. The training was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, represented by the Social Welfare Sector (General Administration of Social Defense and General Administration of Social Assistance).

Over three days, 25 participants, including case managers and social workers from the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Hadhramout Coast, Valley and Mahra, and Taiz, are receiving information and knowledge about mentoring and supervision practices, skills, and tools, as well as worker care and safety.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Social Welfare Sector, Saleh Mahmoud, indicated that the ministry is in the process of finalizing the strategic framework for the National Social Protection Plan 2025-2030.

Anthony Evelia, Director of the Save the Children office in Aden, emphasized the deep partnership between the organization and the ministry and expressed the organization’s readiness for further coordination and interaction with various sectors of the ministry to contribute to building and enhancing the capacities of its staff.
