Ad Dali’, Yemen – In an effort to alleviate the ongoing humanitarian crisis, international aid organization ACTED has distributed essential Transitional Shelter Kits to 102 vulnerable families across five displacement sites in Ad Dali’. This initiative aims to address the dire living conditions faced by internally displaced persons (IDPs) who are grappling with limited access to basic services, harsh weather conditions, and a recent influx of new arrivals.
The distributed Transitional Shelter Kits provide families with vital materials to improve their living conditions and enhance their safety and dignity. These kits typically include weather-resistant tarpaulins, sturdy ropes, tools, and other essential supplies, enabling families to construct more robust and protective shelters.
ACTED’s intervention comes at a crucial time, as existing IDP settlements in Ad Dali’ are stretched to their limits and families are struggling to cope with overcrowding and inadequate shelter. The harsh weather conditions, including extreme heat and heavy rains, further exacerbate the challenges faced by these vulnerable populations.
ACTED remains committed to working alongside local communities and partners to provide life-saving assistance and support to those affected by the ongoing crisis in Yemen.
