On Wednesday, in Tur al-Bahah Directorate, Lahj Governorate, the inauguration of a new water well drilling project took place in the al-Maqarma area east of the district, with funding from the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum Organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of its development projects in Yemen.

Afeef al-Ja’fari, Director General of the Directorate, stressed the importance of the new water well project, especially for the residents of Al-Maqarma area who suffer from water scarcity, and that the drilling of the well comes within the plan of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum Organization to drill a number of water wells in the most needy areas in Lahj Governorate.

al-Ja’fari pointed out that the local authority in the directorate is working with supporting organizations, such as the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum Organization, to provide water to all needy areas, by developing a comprehensive action plan to improve water services throughout the directorate.
